Register for Classes: SOU

General Information

Once you're admitted to HEC/SOU, it's time to register. You can do so in person at the HEC Enrollment Center or online via SISWeb at www.sou.edu/sis.

SISWeb is a secure, interactive Web application where you can easily view your own student data and register. SISWeb is normally available daily between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. through the first week of the term.

• Register on any scheduled registration day or time after your priority day (the day and time listed in the Registration Timetable).
• After the first week term, you will not be able to add classes via SISWeb. Instead, starting the second week of class, you must obtain the instructor's signature on an add slip to add a class. Present the signed add slip to the Enrollment Services Center, and staff will add the class if there are no holds preventing your registration. Holds must be resolved before any class is added.
• The deadline for adding with instructor approval is Friday of the fourth week of the term.
• You are charged $100 per class for any class(es) added after the fourth week of the term and you must obtain signatures from BOTH the instructor and the dean to register for the class.

There is nothing automatic about adding classes to your academic history for a prior term. Do keep a watchful eye on your registration status during each term. If you see a problem, resolve it by contacting the Enrollment Services Center as soon as possible, before the term ends.

Remember: You're responsible for understanding the requirements of your degree and tracking your progress. However, if you're feeling confused and don't know what classes to take, advisors are available for guidance.

SOU Registration Timetable

Congratulations to new and returning SOU student for making the HEC your campus of choice.

Sometimes it seems like school is all about schedules and dates, and HEC is no exception … especially when it comes to registration. The following dates are important to all SOU students on the HEC campus, whether you are a new admit, a re-admitted student, or haven't been admitted yet.

This schedule lists the dates and times for class registration based on the number of completed hours.

Registration takes place from Sunday, May 18 through Friday, October 3, 2008. Based on your student status (freshman, sophomore, junior, etc.), you CANNOT register BEFORE the date and time listed.
